Poem 1Imagine a woman Grey in form Black in hair Look past her fog colored skin Into the pit Midway between breasts and bowels See her small lump of coal Reach in and take it Run your fingers along her jagged edges, bumps and spikes Caress her Smooth her Fling her against the wall Shatter her Watch her obsidian soul explode See shell shards crumble She sways and falls against you Drop her to the floor See grey eyes open Black pupils shrink See her wincePoem 1

Isolation breaths a shroud of peace And books and papers keep me from my pain I won’t bestir it from its lonely sleep So memories of friendship slowly wane
The friendship and the love that I now fear Are hibernating deep within my core As islands never cry I’ll shed no tear As rocks have nerves of stone I’ll feel no more
